At OBI maximum levels of productivity are encouraged in the warehouse facility to increase an individual's opportunity to enhance work skills. It also provides income, self-esteem and personal value for an individual while looking for community employment. Individuals seeking employment in the community are free to choose the type of work appealing to them and to change when not satisfied. They also have the freedom to combine day or vocational services with other community activities, such as school or recreation.
